Strong Presence of Greek Travel Agencies at ITB Berlin
This year, Greek travel agencies made a strong showing at the ITB Berlin international tourism exhibition, held from March 3 to 5. Members of FedHATTA and HATTA engaged in a series of professional contacts, representing Greek tourism in the German and other established and emerging markets.
The contacts focused on expanding collaborations, recording international demand for Greece, enhancing outgoing tourism, and new trends shaping the operational environment of travel agencies in markets of high importance for our country. Through contacts with international tour operators, counterparts, and tourism professionals from Germany and around the world, amid geopolitical developments in the Middle East, travel agencies concluded agreements, renewed collaborations, and formulated estimates for the upcoming season.
ITB Berlin, celebrating its 60th anniversary this year, is a premier international meeting point for the tourism industry, primarily aimed at strengthening professional relationships and developing commercial agreements between international – and especially European – tourism markets. This year’s ITB Berlin emphasized Adventure Tourism, business travel, and LGBTQ+ tourism while hosting industry experts in discussions on new trends and developments impacting international tourism.
