A meeting was held at the Federation’s offices between the president, Lysandros Tsilidis, the Ambassador of Iran in Athens, Malek Hossein Givzad, and Ehsan Bakhshandeh, Commercial Attaché of the Embassy.

The two sides talked about ways to strengthen the tourism relationship and cooperation between the two countries, both at the level of outbound and inbound tourism in both countries. The Ambassador, for his part, emphasized his desire for the resumption of direct flights between Athens and Tehran, which would further enable travellers arriving in Athens to extend their journey to other European countries.

Greece and Iran have a rich historical and cultural background, which is a link that can support tourism cooperation between them.
