Top Executives of German Tourism Visit Athens
Focusing on the further promotion of Greek tourism in the German market, Aegean Airlines hosted a delegation of top executives from the German tourism market in Greece. The senior executives from the German market were in Athens from October 15 to 17 to familiarize themselves with new developments in Greek tourism products and improve strategies to boost the tourism flow from Germany.
The German delegation consisted of members of the Air Transport Committee of the Association of German Travel Agents (DRV), the most significant tourism institution in Germany. The group was led by Lars Holling, CEO of AERTiCKET Germany, and included senior executives from companies such as Hapag-Lloyd Cruises, Studiosus Reisen, Gebeco, Invia Flights, and Aeroplan Reise.
Guests at the events also included Ioanna Papadopoulou, Director of Communications and Marketing of Athens International Airport, Petroula Teta, Head of Culture and Hospitality at the airport, Silke Bergemann, Key Account Manager for Germany and Austria at Aegean, and Evangelos Vasileiou, Director of Sales for Central Europe & Head of Sales Representatives of Grecotel.
During the welcome lunch hosted as part of the program by FedHATTA and HATTA, Lysandros Tsilidis, President of FedHATTA, emphasized: “Greece and Germany have historically been connected by strong ties in tourism. Meetings of this level strengthen collaboration and contribute to the development of quality travel experiences and sustainable practices, which are at the core of modern tourism.”
The lunch was held at the Four Seasons hotel, represented by Sophia Tsioni (Sales Coordinator, Commercial) and Nota Damala (Assistant Director of Sales, Commercial).
