The Ambassador of Tunisia to Greece, Souad Trabelsi, visited the offices of FedHATTA and the HATTA in Athens.

During the meeting with the President of FedHATTA, Lysandros Tsilidis, the prospects for strengthening tourism flows between Greece and Tunisia were discussed. Strategic ways to enhance tourism between the two countries were highlighted, focusing on organized tourism and issues related to travel facilitation.

The President of FedHATTA emphasized the importance of cooperation in the travel agency sector of both countries, focusing on knowledge exchange and the promotion of quality travel experiences. He also highlighted ways to further develop the dynamics of outgoing and incoming travel from Tunisia, a country currently undergoing a strategic strengthening of its tourism.

To enhance this strategy, Mr. Tsilidis suggested to the Ambassador that Tunisian participation in the Philoxenia exhibition would be an important opportunity – for organizing presentations of the country’s destinations in Greece, primarily to Greek travel agencies – and for organizing a mission of Greek travel agencies and journalists to Tunisia for business meetings and promotion.

Regarding the meeting with Ambassador Trabelsi, Mr. Tsilidis stated: “This meeting represents another step toward closer cooperation and the strengthening of Greece-Tunisia relations in the tourism sector, highlighting the common goal of sustainable development and enhancing travel flows to our country as well as the outgoing tourism of Greeks.”
