FedHATTA and the Greek-Spanish Chamber of Commerce sign Memorandum of Cooperation

Μνημόνιο Συνεργασίας (MoC) υπέγραψε η Ομοσπονδία Ελληνικών Συνδέσμων Γραφείων Ταξιδίων & Τουρισμού (FedHATTA) με το Ελληνοϊσπανικό Εμπορικό Επιμελητήριο, επισφραγίζοντας τη στρατηγική συμμαχία του επιχειρηματικού κόσμου Ελλάδας και Ισπανίας σε θέματα τουρισμού.

A Memorandum of Cooperation (MoC) was signed by FedHATTA and the Greek-Spanish Chamber of Commerce, sealing the strategic alliance of the business communities of Greece and Spain on tourism matters. The memorandum was signed by FedHATTA President Lysandros Tsilidis and the President of the Greek-Spanish Chamber of Commerce, Michalis Kokkinos, during a working lunch held at a central hotel in Athens.

Also in attendance was the Vice President of the European Commission, Margaritis Schinas, who expressed his warm support for the cooperation between the two countries in tourism.

The agreement is expected to significantly contribute to enhancing cooperation between Greek and Spanish tourism businesses, further strengthening the positions of both countries on the global tourism map. Specifically, the MoC lays the groundwork for closer collaboration between the two entities through a range of joint actions such as:

• Joint participation in international tourism fairs and events

• Promotion and visibility of the tourism products of Greece and Spain

• Organization of educational and professional familiarization trips

• Promotion of innovative ideas and practices related to tourism.

FedHATTA President Lysandros Tsilidis stated: “This initiative brings Greek tourism, Greek travel agencies, and the Greek travel product to the forefront of productivity and creativity, purposefully opening up prospects for cooperation with an important European market.”
